I'll bet you $10 that any new Mondeo that comes to market in the US will be US made. At a time when Ford are idling US plants, there is no way that the UAW will countenance importing euro Fords.

Therefore, the same schmucks that put our cars together previously will be putting the new ones together. The fubar'd it before, they'll do it again.

Plus the schmucks that "fix" our cars treat the customer with the contempt normally reserved for child molestors. See the thread on what dealer mechanics think about customers. Pay particular attention to the linked thread on flatratetech.com about wiring harness issues.

Ford can go to hell.

Regarding the comments about the reliability if Alfa's, when was the last time any of you guys saw/drove/serviced an Alfa. If you referring to the 10yr old heaps that you occasionally see running around, that criticism is justified. But I was referring to the new Alfa's...156 & 166 specifically.

Alfa has put a lot of time/money/effort into their manufacturing process and quality control. Sure, problems do still exist. But I find it hard to believe that the service will be as ****ty as Fords.

Plus I should have known the sniggers that mention of any european non-German marque elicits on this forum.
