Its out of the way. Just have to be carefull when the trunk lid is wet it might leak onto the amp. Thats only if there is a lots of water.
Enjoy, Good luck,
I see wires!!! I thought you can't see any wires except under the hood

The cool thing about building a wall like mine is that it hides everything behind it; including the box. My sub is flush with the wall; as is the amp and CD changer. Build your box, then attach the wall on top of it; like a cover.

Nope. I cut the opening in the wall as big as the outter diameter of the sub. The sub stands about 3/4" out of the box, and that's how thick the wood is that I used. Hence, it's flush. Lemme see if I can draw a pic...

Maybe you just have the wrong color wires. Here is mine, I dont see any reason to hide my wires.

Here's what I'm talking about by a 'wall': Instead of having an amp on the left and a sub on the right (which is my set-up) you'd have a pair of subs and put the amp elsewhere, right?

Yeap. Umm, let's see suspension junk: stock end links (I cut the bushings though), stock sway bar and brackets, some bump stops,, that's all I can think of. I can give you a polished bar that is the middle piece of a streetflight cougar RSTB.

FS: SVT rear sway bar
