I have had several people tell me that aluminum is difficult to work with because it tends to "tear" and get extremely thin at the outside radius of the bend. To overcome this you would have to increase the wall thickness and that would negate the weight savings of Al in the first place. Most exhaust shops wouldn't have mandrel bending equipmant anyways. mostly all they do is crush bent. probably best to order pre-bent
