Over the weekend I went up to Shaun's in J'ville. We swapped out my TB with the one he optimized and opened the secondaries on my SVT a bit.
Overall I love having the secondaries cracked. There seems to be more power at the low end and a little more responsive up to 3400 (could be TB). However, I've developed an interesting case of throttle hang.
At any speed when I push in the clutch the RPM's will only drop to 1500-2000. Only after I've come to a complete stop for 15-20 seconds do the RPM's drop all the way back down to 750-1000. I don't have any sort of TH fix installed and the computer should be used to the change by now.
Any thoughts?

My SVT has a similar problem but I haven't done anything to the secondaries or the TH Fix. It is more like 1500 to 1250 on mine. It also ends up dropping to 750 only at a complete stop. Doesn't seem to be a real problem though. I have been driving it like this since I got it a few motnhs ago. 2000rpm seems really high though. I thought I read some where that some one had to replace some idle sensor or soemthing to that effect. It doesn't bother me enough to do something about it at this point. Hope someone esle has some good ideas about hte problem.

I really didn't notice any throttle hang on my car, but then again I have an ATX.... dunno....

Any thoughts? Where is the adjustment on these buggers? I cannot find any adjustment screw for it on my 2000. Please explain in detail where you adjust the secondries. Please post your response here and email it to me too. Thanks in advance.

Brian, The hang is from the seondaries being open to far, I experimented with it today and had to close them off because of throttle hang. Double check all the hoses on the pipe and the vaccum lines on the intake. Aussie, look under your throttle body, there is the linkage for the secondaries, the adjustment screw faces straight up on the right of the throttle body - here's a pic - Hey how's your throttle body mod doing? I have backed mine off until the throttle hangs for a bit at 1200 ish and the falls off to normal. Brian after adjusting mine today I don't think we moved your that much. It's a 3/8 box end wrench and don't forget "righty tighty"

I already checked all the lines and hoses and they're fine. I figured I just had to adjust the screw but I thought I'd throw it out there for the group. I'll post my results after I play with it a bit. Originally posted by sparks: It's a 3/8 box end wrench and don't forget "righty tighty" Ahh yes, but is it "righty tighty" when you're upside down and backwards? I also figured out how to make the data from our runs more conclusive. I'll let you know what I find out.

Brian back the adjuster out/down and see if the hang goes away.
