www.angelfire.com/realm2/silverbullet/kkm.html

I just ordered this from a guy thinking I got a deal and I paid 75.00 for this and the damn thing has a whole in the filter before it gets to the aluminum coupling, should I file a complaint with paypal and get my money back? And has anyone ever filed a complaint and received retribution?
Thanks,
Larry

that's not good...is that rubber or metal the hole is in?? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to go out and look. However, i fit is rubber you can replace it for probably under $5

On the first gen. KKMs this hole was there for the IAT to be connected. On later model Contiques the IAT was relocated and the hole in the KKM wasn't needed so KKM changed their filter. You didn't get hosed you just got a first gen filter, no biggie.

I didn't get my KKM filter throught Kurtz Kustom, I got it off of my friend who works at a car parts store. It's the same S&B filter. I had to drill a hole into the side just like that for the IAT. I'm sure thats why the hole is there. smile

and like I said there- 92-97 bucks vs 75- just buy another filter for 5 and be happy that you didn't have to spend 100+ for it new.

I don't want to seem harsh, but what is the point in posting this more than once when people continue to reply to your other post????

Cool, Angelfire is run by my company.... laugh

Sorry, just had to throw that in there. Don't think that hole should make a huge difference anyway, just face it down and it won't even be visible.

Definitely plug the hole, because it's behind the filter, so any air/debree getting sucked into that hole won't pass thru the filter. It will end up inside the engine

The hole was not made there though it was cut in the rubber that is connected to the filter. How much and where can you get the filter from? I mean I thought the filter would be the majority of the cost? Anyway, would marine epoxy be a good thing to plug the hole, saw it at wal-mart and I thought it looked good, sort of a putty that will harden, because the hole is not exactlly round it has a tear going in a different direction but it is not all the way through?

00mred00, sorry for posting twice I thought I would close the last post but I got distracted because my 14 month old cut the computer (whats up with kids and the green power light on the computer), again sorry didn't mean to anger anyone! mad
