I agree matt, as i've come to realize a degree really means almost nothing these days. The thing is I have the knowledge and the hands on experience just not in the field. I repair, build, customize and consult for both fun and as a side job. Just nothing IT on my resume yet I should have taken a job offer i had right out of high school with Compaq in greenbelt!!!! I know my stuff, my resume just doesn't reflect it...

Why is it not on your resume if you do it ??
If you build/repair/consult PC's in your off hours then just put down on your resume that you are an IT consultaint and put in there what you do.

Moxnix: My skills and qualifications are on my resume. I never thought about putting that on my resume though being as how it is something i do in my spare time or sort of a side thing. I just might add that, being as how I have never worked for a company where my job position was IT or even IT related, mostly administrative and data entry. I think that is what most IT companies are looking for when it comes to a resume.
Matt: No but I can email it to you

I am one. I work for a company who is a contractor for federal government. My job duty involves web application programming (using ColdFusion), database programming, etc. I am currently working toward my M.S. in computer science at Johns Hopkins U. My company pays for the tuition upon completion of the class with B or above grade. Otherwise, it will be too expensive for me to afford. Rick
