I have a BS in Descision Sciences and Management Information Systems. I am currently working as an Applications Systems Analyst for an insurance company. My job basically consists of 50% technical stuff and 50% business stuff. I actually started out working as a Business Analyst but due to my technical background I started getting more involved in the IT side of stuff. It actually worked out pretty well since I am one of the few people in my department that can actually communicate our business requirements to the hardcore IT people. In today's job market it's kind of hard to get hired if you have no prior experience. You might want to try getting a job through a temp agency. I have a couple of friends that started of that way and eventually got hired permanently. They both started working crappy shifts at the help desk but they eventually moved up and are doing very well now.
