Ummmm....This is why I hate buying things from people other than businesses. I've belonged to three different "web car forums" over the last four years, but I've never seen such arguing, finger pointing and back stabbing as I have here........And you know what REALLY Irks me??? People throwing around legal threats and, even better, using that they were a police officer to try and settle an argument. If you want to see a prime example of what's going on in these forums for the "rip-off" factor, don't look here. Go to "group buys" and look under the "european Mondeo parts for sale" thread....People actually sent some guy overseas $, and now, they're **** outta luck because he took their $, and no one's heard from this guy in over a month. He joined the forum the day before he made this "deal" to everyone and had only two or so posts before he posted his "for sale" thread!!! Feel thankful you guys are at least having SOME sort of dialogue!!

For what it's worth, I purchased an SVT exhaust from Zach last summer and there were no problems. Having met him for all of 20 minutes I can't say that I know him well enough to vouch for him - what I would say is that although he can be difficult to get in touch with, he isn't in the business of scamming people. If he says the part is in the mail then I would believe him - I'd put more blame on Canada Post - between Canada post and cross-border customs brokers I've had my fair share of service delays!!! Eric

I am not throwing around legal threats. I am just stating a fact. From the time he was paid till the time he decided to remove it from his car was one week. He mailed it (according to him) July 2nd. It is now July 12th. The last email from me that he posted was not the last email I sent him. He stopped responding after the "has it been shipped" email. So if you think I am jsut going to sit back and wait you are nuts. As for taking it offline: I tried but got nowhere cuz he was not responding.

Yes this is going round and round. All I want to know is what day did you send it on? People have told me "he is a busy guy, he will send it" so I am going to have to trust that you are not dumb enough to try to stiff someone. What I will say is this: When you sold it to me you should have said you were going to drive the car for a week with it on still, and then send it July 2nd (that is when you said it was going to ship). Today is July 11th, in your opinion how long would you have waited for something that you paid for and not received before you got pizzed?

I didnt drive with the filter on the car for another week, I had sold the car and forgot to take it off. A week was the earliest chance I had to get it. I have a little bit of patience so if someone said it was on its way and knowing the speed or lack thereof of the postal services in Canada and US I would give a it a couple of weeks. :p

OIC, so someone else drove with my filter? Well, I am going to charge them for the additional milage then (or Kilometers to you up northerners). And as for patience: I can barely spell it, let alone have any. :p

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know I used to buy parts for my Eclipsefrom a guy in Canada. The trnsactions were time consuming because of the ccanadian postal folks. Ive even had one part lost but then show up at my door about 4 months later.
