If you considering spending thousands of dollars on a used car the least you can do is drop $20 to see if it good or not.

Perhaps you're blind to the fact that $20 also buys a 30-day unlimited CARFAX account. Several individuals here, including me, have been gracious enough to help others out with a free report when we had our accounts.
There's no shame in checking here to see if someone can help out with a freebie before going off to buy it. Give the kid a break.
