Well I've spent the entire weekend looking for a decent sub/amp combo for the old SVT. I've come to half a decision.

I have decided on purchasing one 12" Shiva, but I am unsure which way to go with an amplifier. My goal is to purchase an amp that I can add another Shiva to in the event that one isn't quite enough for me. I know a little about the physics involved in wiring options but I'm still unable to decide on which amp is best for powering one to two Shiva subs. I want to be able to get the most out of these woofers.

Any suggestions on which brand and model to choose, or what spec to shop for. I've looked at the Lanzar Vibe 1200D and the PPI 1250, 1500, and 2400. For what it's worth I'm using a Kenwood MP8017 HU and the stock speakers (they seem to be decent mid range speakers).

I better not get deployed before I finish this.

Thanks in advance

your best bet I think is to get a JBL1200.1 because it puts out full power at 2 ohm.

if you get the Vibe1200D..youd need 3 shivas to get out the full amount..
