Anybody Know what this is connected to what sensor.
I have a 98 Contour Zetec 2.0 Recently it has been dying on me
and Changed the plugs those were gone but still no change.
while in the process of changing the plugs I found this sensor
and the wire were bare and pos was touching neg so could that be my problem a burned sensor. My dad went to pick up a code reader. I know that not the same engine but same concept.

BTW i used http://www.imageshack.us/index2.php to host image

Might be a VCT sensor. Our cars have a different cam cover, etc. than the Cosworth Focus, so it's hard to say for sure, but that wiring in that picture goes to about the same place as the VCT sensor on my '99 zetec Contour.

Man that's a fancy looking engine bay!!! Looks to be worth than the car cost! I don't have a Zetec but it looks like a PCV valve, but the factory one not located there?
What is package from?

In theory yeah! But fix the wiring were you saw it shorting out first. Then go from there.
