okay i have the 1200.1 and 2 diamond 12" cm3 D4's in a box with 1.5 cu ft and tuned to 38 hz. okay here's what we tried first
we had one sub wired to 8 ohms. it sounded okay, that would be 300 watts rms, right? we wired the other to 8 ohm and put them together on the same terminal that should equal 4 ohms, which would be 600 watts right? well it sounds like its still 300 watts split between the two subs, actually it sounded a lil louder with one sub at 8 ohms than it did with both wired together at 4. this dosent make sense. so then we tried putting each sub on a seperate terminal i know its a mono channel amp, but i thought it would be worth a try. still sounded the same. so we took them out and wired both down to two ohms. we wired one sub to one terminal expecting to get 1200 watts. we turned the gain down because 1200 is way too much power for these, we slowly turned it up, it still sounds like 300 watts rms. this is starting to annoy me. we tried both on the same terminal that way, we also tried both on seperate terminals.... still sounds the same. i've checked all connections and everything at least 10 times. it dosent make sense. one sounds louder than when both are connected, and the power dosent seem to be doubling when we cut the impedance in half. any suggestions. oh the amp and subs are all new. and we broke them in at low levels for about 20 minutes
please help me im so confused.

Describe to us (as detailed as possible) how you have the subs hooked up....

each sub is wired into 2 ohms and each is on a different terminal of the amp, i know this is a mono channel amp but i read the two terminals on these amps are wired together internally , cant remember if its in parallel or series tho, so its either a 1 ohm load or a 4 ohm load im getting, but i talked to some people on forums earlier and they said they had the exact same problem with power not doubling, until they bought rca y splitters and used all 4 connections, so im going to try that today.
