Why not get a cone filter that also attaches to the fender intake hole? That way you'll still be drawing in some cool air. You can get an SVT fenderwell adapter from Bill Jenkins. That's how I have my setup on a 98 Mystique.

Also, whoever posted the pic you might consider removing that IMRC heat trap cover.

Well, as you can see that my signature has been edited again, this will be my 3rd experience with expensive filters...I hope 3rd time is the charm...it was w/ the cat-back.

because reverse cone filters have been proven to be worse than regular filters. just make a heat sheild.

Sorry, but i have to say that all thoes seem like attacks twards CEgers around here...your just fanning the flames with these guys....Sorry, but i must say, that is the sign of a Troll....I know you do not care what others think, and i cna respect that...

But, i also thought (which you have stated before) you do into instigate things, but defend yourself when provoked...looks to me like your provoking things now.

Good Lcuk with everything, and i do mean that, but i personaly think that your BIO is uncalled for, and disrespectful. again IMO, and i know you don;t care, but i felt it needed to be said.
