Just to anwser your questions, (welcome to CEG btw) The hood, won't fit, the front bumper doesn't fit, and the fenders don't either. When ford brought the mondeo over to be the contour they made slight changes in order to I guess fit our taste, or just be asses not sure.. The corner lights on the mondeo are more pointed, while the contour's are more blunt. The grille lines are different then that of a contour, so the hoods wouldn't line up. Now right behind your corner lights, the bumper goes up a little tiny bit. I believe someone said 1/4 inch. While ares goes up about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Your head lights are also shorter in length then ours, making the grille area larger. Hope any of this helps.

as for your tour'/deo' its possible to do what you want, but it would take a lot of money and work. I suggest you leave your mondeo, as a mondeo. Those are sweet cars, I would trade my contour for a US mondeo (if they existed) any day. Granted if you did do the change I think it would look really sweet. My contour is listed in my signature if you want to see pictures.

Many thanx for all the replies and help. I may just source a conty hood anyway and experiment. I just think the front end of the hood has far more charecter than the Mondy front. Once again many thanx.

Thats exactly the look i want to achieve my friend. Would you be willing to post a pic of the hood from above so that I can visually compare it with the Mondeo.

Would it not be better to get a MK2 bonnet and mod that to fit?

Hi Dan, As far as I can find out the actual dimensions of the contour ( our mk 1 Mondeo ) bonnet is almost identical. I just luv that centre piece where our grill sits and the almost mk 6 escort look to the centre. To Modify a mk 2 to fit would be a major job. There is an American importer close to me Called Gasoline Ally at Wrotham near Brands Hatch motor racing circuit ( Was great to see Paul Tracy there lettin loose his engine on the home straight last year in the cart series ) so I will pay them a visit and price up an imported bonnet ( hood ).
