My wife's 95 v6 has started to run hot,after about 20 miles on the freeway the temp gauge is at the L on the gauge.Sun day I replaced the thermostat with a 180,checked the water pump and flushed the system,still runs hotter then it should.THe fans come on when the temp. reaches the L on the gauge,also runs on A/C and deforst.Any Ideas,are the fans coming on to late?

thermostat may be stuck closed

used to run at the low side of the M,thermostate is open.I wonder if the temp gauge sending unit is bad.Just got back from the rad.shop they used a gun with a laser and showed the water temp.to be 185and 193 and the gauge at the A.

If all else fails, have a cooling system pressure test done.

Krog - did you ever find out the root cause on this? Im having the exact same issue and am about to replace the ECT sensor, but could be the sending unit. Thanks...
