Based on price, specs, look, etc. I'd drive one, but I wouldn't be 100% sure without a good test drive.

Haha...you get what you pay for, in my opinion. The Scion being completely new might be a bit of a gamble. You don't know what kinds of bugs those things may have.

Motor trend said this? On the Scion website I'm reading 106 HP and 105 lb/ft. If that's the case, then for the same price gimme an Elentra GLS.

I'm not sure it will have the same problems that many cars have in their first year, in part because it is a Toyota, and also because IIRC many components are sourced from other Toyota models, so its not a bunch of new equipment. As for resale value, while it is a new nameplate, they seem to be popular. For a lot of these things though, only time will tell. Go take a test drive.

For 16K get a Focus SVT, yes they are advertising the last of the 04's around my way for $6,200 off MSRP!

Only issue I have with the car, and hey that full length glass roof is cool, is the rear seat dimensions are pathetic from what I've read.

Take a look at the Tc as long as you are on that web site. The xA and xB have wimpy motors, but the tC has a torquey motor.

The equipment and features on the tC for $16.8k is great. Have no idea idea what it drives like or feels like inside. Mag quick drives are positive.
