Hi, After reading all the posts on the ac blower only working on high, I went and got a new resistor pack--put it in and it worked for one day. Smelled burning--- now, it works on high max ac and all speeds for plain ac. So, there is only the one speed on max. I'm in Florida--it's always hot! Max high is very very noisy(it has 4 speeds)I prefer the 3 setting so I can hear the music LOL. Any ideas what I did wrong or is there something else you know of? Thanks!!

Just got my car back this afternoon. My resistor pack went out on me a week ago couldn't find which item under dash was it so I took mine to the dealer. Originally the told me $60 for part and 1.5 hours labor. Got it today part was $7.30 and 60 for labor. Not as bad as projected. Mine is a '00 with no open recalls Too bad about my dash

My car is a 2000--thing is, I don't want to put another one in if it's just going to burn up again. I also have the dash problem-tried talking with 2 dealerships and Ford customer service--no one will do anything!

Lasr resistor pack I bought was my 3rd which was different physically from the previous two.....I was told that it was an improved version.
Has been working well for last six months or so.
I also recall that the Ford parts guy mentioned that it was the same item used in the Taurus.......my $0.02.....

Remove glove box, look for a square electrical plug in the heater duct (toward left side), remove screw that secures resistor pack, remove assembly & remove plug from resist5or pack.....reverse procedure to install........
