Ideally you'd want to have a set of rotors to keep with each pad compound, so you won't have to re-bed them each time. The pad compound gets embedded in the surface of the rotor, and that's what causes the brakes to work. So if you swap pads to the same rotors, technically you really should re-bed them and let them cool to ambient before using them on the track.
