what would be the easiest way to hook up a amp to door speakers? The 2 front ones are RF the back two are polk, blew those somehow. Anyway I have a JVC head, How do you think would be the easiest way to put a amp to the door speakers? Very loud and clear right now but they can be better.

Anyone have kicker panel speakers? How do they look?

your best bet is to get a 4 channel amp for both front & rear speakers. This will give you better sound all around. As for the kick panel, it all depends on who builds them. I will be starting a set for my car soon. It takes a lot of time to build these (18 hours for my last car). there are videos out there. www.metro-auto.com has vids from basic to extreme. same with www.selectproducts.com. I have ordered one of there videos & it is very good. If you feel confident enough to build them yourself, this would be the cheaper way to go. They can run upwards of $500 a set without speakers. Good luck.

All you need is:

Amp (2 channel just loses fade control, but usually more power)
Amp wiring kit
Extra RCA cables if going with 4-channel amp
Speaker wire

You run your power and RCAs to the amp, then run the speaker wires back to the speakers. If you plan to use the factory wiring, you'll have to find a place to tap into them, like near thefactory amp to bypass it.

I've seen one kick panel setup in the Contour and I don't think I could drive with them. I'll keep my mids in the doors and the tweets in the defrost vents. Any bonus, I save a lot of work.

I built some kick panels and they sounded awsome and the speakers were not even angled that great. I have since pulled them to make new ones and I just said scew it. componets sound good in our doors too..
