It seems as if my left channel is going out? Well, really it keeps going in and out, but it is more out than in. I took the head unit out to see if any wires were loose, but none were. Short in the wires?? If that's the case, that sucks.

You still have the stock cd player right? If that's the case, its probably the cd player or stock amp that is causing this. Wiring problems are highly unlikely, but can happen. The stock stereos in these cars are junk. If you put in a new aftermarket head unit, bypass the amp and everything should work properly. You might want to check the connections at the speakers though. It could be that the connectors are loose.
