What are the applicators for? Are they used to apply the wax or what? Alos what kind of applicator do you need are there many different kinds or not?

I don't understand the question. What applicators are you talking about? To apply something like Meguiar's PlastX? You can use a wax applicator pad to apply it; or just use a clean terry cloth rag. Then remove the PlastX with another clean rag.

buy some Meguiar's PLASTX works like a charm.

I LIGHTLY wetsanded (1200 grit) then used Meguiars and although they aren't perfect, they're damn close
