ok like i said i think my battery wasnt charging because the alt was unplugged but since i got a new one free im going to change it anyways...also it just so happens that a ford general mngr that is my step dads brother is going to try hard to see what he can do to help me since my car has just 103,000 and it was in custody of a ford dealer as used stock with 99,000 and they didnt fix the recall i told him i dont want ford to do the labor ill do it but if they can hook me up with the harness that would be cool if not i will just fix all my bad wiring with liquid tape http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDetails.asp?SourceArea=&SourcePage=SEARCHRESULTS&MfrCode=NAO&MfrPartNumber=NA55&CategoryCode=3064 ....i need to know how to remove the axel from the transaxel it wont just pull out of there...is there a clip or somthing?thanks

I had the problem with the plug coming undone too. I would drive and my battery would drain to the point where my tach would bounce around and die soon after. I rigged it with high-temp zip ties.

Assuming you have a v6, I know you don't have to undo the axel. It makes the job a bigger PITA. If you undo your tie rod and y-pipe, you have plenty of room. Reach from the top of the engine bay for the hard-to-reach top alternater bolt, and the other one can be reached through the hole the y-pipe removal made for you.

One question for someone...this stupid mega fuse...can your car charge with it being bad? and drain while it sits?
