Hi, I took out the factory radio/cassette and installed a radio/cd player. The radio on it really stinks--is there any way I can put the original back in AND hook the cd player up also? I'm not ready to buy another new player at this time--- I don't want to blow anything with my lack of knowledge! Thanks!

If u can find a factory cd player somewhere it might be just as much as a new aftermarket one. I checked a local junkyard and they wanted 175-200 for one. Just save up and get a good aftermarket one. this is the one I'm looking at.

id highly recommend the alpine 9833. Awesome deck. Has bass engine, good output, custimizable settings you can download to a cd, put the cd in the player and have it change it all by itself. Plus if you have the new alpine amps the deck will control them (up to 6) sweet sweet deck.

Sell your factory cd player on ebay. Amazingly, someone will give you enough for it to buy a decent aftermarket cd player.

To answer his original question, yes, you can put your stock one back in and use a cd player. Unfortunately, you will need to use one of those retarded cassette adapters with the wire coming out to plug it into a discman or something. Your best bet is to buy a new head unit

Do you mean the radio as in it does not pick up radio stations??

A CD player has to be pretty bad to not sound better the OEM Cassette :freak:

Anyway to get a tuner as good as the OEM means buying a better aftermarket HU and making sure you have a good antenna connection.

The tuner is normally the BEST thing in any OEM HU.

MOST OEM tuners are BETTER than your typical aftermarket HU.
