Hello Everyone,
Well I was driving my car this morning and all of a sudden looked down and there was that yellow light staring back at me!!

Can anyone tell me where I can get the car checked so I can get the codes so I know what the heck is wrong? it is a 95 Mercury Mystique in or around Worcester MA? The car is running the same, no problems except that it is running a little hot, the gauge is still within the "normal" range.

HELP!!

Make sure you call to the Autozone first, to make sure they can pull your codes, as the 95 Mystique and Contour have OBD I, not II.

Thanks, Ford!!

if you look under the faq on the main page you will see one for check engine lights, in that information there will be a link to a discription to pull the codes for the 95, all you need is two wires to get the codes

Actually, all you need is one wire.

Its really easy to check the codes yourself if you'd prefer.

I've done it a bunch of times, so I alot about it if you'd like, and you really don't get that dirty.

I will try this, Is it hard to do? Trouble is Autozone only has a OBD 11 Tool. They said they can't check my car. I DON'T want to take it to a dealership if at all possible. We have just purchased a home ( we close this week!! ) So I don't want to spend all kinds of money on things I can do myself!

Thanks!

Its incredibly easy to do.

If you really get stuck, I can probably walk you through it with an email.

Good Luck!

Sorry taken so long to post...just moved into our new home over the weekend...

The code was for the MAF.

My husband took a look at it and said the wires looked "ify" so he is going to replace it.

Thanks for all the help everyone!!
