i have seen these before, dont know if they really work, but what they do is instead of the filter material being made from paper or cotton gauze or whatever else they use, instead they make it out of stainless steel wires, they braid the wires to make that kinda mesh stuff. personally dont know if it works or not, dont think it will work any better than a k&n, and they cost a lil more too

Typical E-bay ricer garbage I suspect!

The thing that keep particles from getting into the car is that it sticks to the oils that is applied to the "hi-flow" filters. this doesn't use oil is suspect it doesn't filter all that well. Just my opinion but I could be wrong,

Complete crap. No wire mesh is going to compare to paper or cotton element. If you are okay with letting dust into your intake, then get this POS.

Exactly. I would think that it would be way more restrictive than the standard air filter. Looks more like a show piece to me.

Wouldn't that get considerably hotter than a regular paper/cotton filter?

Yup, I bought one before I had my Tique. Put it on the Tempo, mostly because you could dump sand in that engine and it would run... Very poor filtering, cleaned dust off inside of intake tube many times. Not to mention cleaning the intake and throttle body regularly.
