I was just wondering if anyone knew how to install a mobile tv and a tv tuner in the car? I am skilled in installing audio stuff but I have never done a tv and the instruction manuel sucks. I need to know how to install and what they do- the wires are--- Tuner- Reverse line Hand break Tv- Ignition and what to do with the audio wire?
IF any one can help answer these it would be greatly apprciated ----chris

Reverse line- no idea Hand brake- they want you to attach this to the E brake so that you can only watch tv will the car is stopped, just ground that puppy somewhere.
Ignition- obvious, this wire must receive power only with the key on
Audio wire- RCA- need to feed into your stereo (amps somehow) does your radio have an aux in?
hope that hepls, Also what kind of antenna did you get for the TV, an amplified diversity one works best (Emerson has a cheap one that is amplified)

Yeah I got the tv working, I still have no idea what the reverse wire is along with the hand break because its not connected and everything still works. I just have one more question, What do you guys think about power inverters? I have heard they cause static and distortion, but what else would I use to power my 64? thanks for your help ---chris

If you have bad a install, an inverter may cause noise, I dont think you'll have a problem, my Dreacast works great and the picture is great too, no static.

Now that you have a TV, you will be watching the porn, no? Imagine how much fun traffic jams will become!

Yep that is why i got it, GA traffic sucks and for those long breaks at work I will have something to do. One more question though, what would be the best way to tie the laptop into the monitor so i can use my laptop as a dvd player and an mp3 player?
thanks ---chris

Does your laptop have a video out besides the standard monitor connector? If not then its not worth it. The connector that convert the signal is too much $$$$ to be worthwhile

there might be a solution in a PCMCIA card of some sort. but i think most laptops today have some kind of traditional video/audio out.

Yeah that is what I was thiking the reverse line was for. Now my other question, I was going to put the tv in the middle of my dash where the cd player and hvac panel is. I was then going to move the cd player and heating/hvac panel down below the tv. But that is going to be a lot of work. Any ideas on what to do? I would like to keep the tv in the center, any other ideas on where to put cdplayer or hvac?
thanks----chris
