Well I bought this amp off Ebay. My brother has a couple of 12s, a JBL and a Dedicated(??), in his talon with a Kenwood mono amp, something like 250 RMS. Unfortunately I don't have numbers on the subs. So I decided to try out my amp. I put one sub on each channel. When I played something it would gargle for 1 sec then be quiet for 4 sec, then repeat. The light on the amp stayed on the whole time. The gain is set at normal. When I paused the music, the sequence continued, until I shut the car off. After a little bit of this I hooked his amp back up and it worked fine. Did I get screwed with a bad amp?

I was hoping to be able to blame the battery. It can't even start the car. His amp and subs would shutoff until I connected a battery charger; a lot of dimming too. With my amp, it doesn't make things shutoff so I don't know...

So bad battery, bad amp, or too much power for subs?
