Hey guys, I've been a member for several months but this is my first post. I have a 96GL Zetec ATX that I purchased for my daughter about a year ago. Thanks to this forum I have been able to correct most of my problems. The ATX went south and I took it to a very reputable shop. They rebuilt it and I picked up the car yesterday. On the way home I started getting a vibration and noise. It reminded me of my younger days when my exhaust would bump the floor pan on my old hot rod. I took it back to the shop and they said it was nothing they did. Any suggestions on what to check. It doesn't seem to be the exhaust. Thanks in advance.

I would check the motor mounts/tranny mounts, and make sure they are secure. There should be four of them, one on the right hand fender, one on the left hand fender, one at the front of the tranny, and one at the back of the tranny. If the shop removed the tranny (which I assume they did), they almost certainly removed all of these mounts, and it's possible that one or more of them are not tight or are perhaps misaligned.
