i was driving home from my friends house tonight and was behind a pickup truck on the highway, we both were passing a cavalier when i realized i would have to get over quicker to make my exit.

i don't know what the guy was thinking but when i pressed on the gas he looked over at me (his window was open) and threw a mcD's bag full of trash out the window hitting the front of my car, it would have been worse but he did it just as i was putting on the brakes because it was safer to just get over behind him.

anyway i followed him down the highway a bit past where it turns into one lane and stopped following when he turned off to a windy road because i didn't even want to take it there.

i got the guys liscence plate number before they turned off and was wondering if there was either a free way to look up who they were or if someone had an account with one of the websites that does that. i don't know if the kid knew me or was just some random..

sorry for such a long post.

The best i can suggest is report them to the proper authorities if you want, it may seem a bit pu$$y-ish but it'll get that person in a little bit of trouble.

I have asked this question back in December and got the same, call the cops answer. I wasn't able to find anything other than me beinga reserve police officer that was able to help me look up a tag number. I for one am all for the revenge thing when someone messes with me/family/friends/car/(hopefully in a week or two I can add Bike to this list...) -Nick

In Utah, all license plates are protected. The only people who can look them up are the police or those with your permission (like to get a parking permit).

Where I live the police will give you the person's home address if you call dispatch with their license number. You don't even have to ask.
