hi
as you can see from photo while the LIm has larger ports the SVT/ST200 UIM does not and you have a large step right round
now i know the butterflys and shaft in the LIM will cause a bit of an obstruction
next thing what results might there be if the ports in the UIM are opened out a bit to match the UIM port size a bit more

Did you mean the UIM opened up to match the LIM ?? If so, we call that "port matching" around here. The results - a smoother transition from UIM to LIM theoreticly reducing the possibilities of eddies and air swirling where it shouldnt be swirling. (that's good)

thanks yes that is what i meant
so opening out the smaller UIM ports to match the lower UIM 34/35 ports is a good thing
