The two chrome fuel supply tubes under the upper intake manifold are connected with a plastic or teflon tube(on the passengers side of the engine). Mine is leaking fuel. I tried small hose clamps and they stopped the leak for a while but it has started leaking again. What can I use to replace this tube? The fuel pressure at this point has been reduced by the regulator but is still about 35 psi. (Is that correct?) Any ideas would be appreciated. I believe that Ford only sells the entire fuel supply manifold.

look for a return style fuel rail in the classifieds, what year is your tour, because they are two different return styles. one for top feed and one for side feed

So you think that the whole thing needs to be replaced? Couldn't I just replace the tubing that links the two sides together? I don't want to do something that isn't safe but would like to save some time and $$ if possible.

The car has about 125K. The engine was replaced about 6 months ago - it is a 99 from a Cougar with about 25K. The intake and fuel rail were re-used from the original engine. The leak stated when the engines were swapped.

ok then what you should do then is get the fuel rail that nOsSvTcOnToUr is selling and just put that on, it should just be as easy as removing the UIM and then removing the old rail, unhooking it from the lines and putting oh the new one and hooking everything back up

you will also need a special tool to disconnect the fuel lines, also change the o rings on the injectors when you install them you will be sure you wont have any leaks if you got any other questions pm me
