I have a friend with an MR2 who just bought some "Brembo" rotors off of ebay. He says there is nothing on the box or rotor that indicate the rotors are made by brembo, yet the seller insists they are.

The question is, if the rotors are authentic, will they have identifying numbers or logos on them?

How much did he pay for these "Brembo" rotors? Are there any casting numbers are stamped markings in them....I can ID who or where they are made if I have some casting numbers to work with....please email me with the info.. pat@stopitbrakes.com ... and I will tell you if they are Brembo or not.

patman seems to know his stuff... do what he said
But on another note, I have seen places (like eBay) claim that they are selling Brembo rotors. It was actually a website I found, but I got the feeling that Brembo was the hook to get people there, and they were selling knockoffs or "unbranded" Brembos... I dunno if there is such a thing? I would imagine if they were the latter, then they would be Brembo rejects and not quite up to Brembo standards, but the rotors weren't all crap (so as to throw them away), so they let other people sell them in a white box or whatever. Just my thoughts on it...
