My contour is shifting hard from 1st to 2nd? Does anyone know what it could be?

that is known as a bang shift. it is easily remedied by replacing the turbine speed sensor (TSS) for about $15 and 10 minutes worth of effort.


Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

It may used to have been 10 minutes but over the years crud and [censored] builds up in there making it near impossible to remove. Took a few ASE techs, and a few days for mine to come out. Parts of it kept braking off, finally using a magnet they got it out.
