Recommended to change Transmission Range Sensor #991559 06/28/04 02:12 PM

OP ds10 CEG\'er D Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 78 East Coast	Had some problems with tour and after posting in General forum all points led to change this. Mechanic told me new sensor was different than the original one in my 98. Car runs smoother and the ATX shifts differently now. It does run higher RPM in the low gears now but overall I like the ride this way. _____________ 98 SE

I'm sure the numbers are different between cougars, escapes and contours, but from what I have seen there is only one sensor. Let's see... There's three different turbine speed sensors, two different solenoid packs aaannnnnd I think that's it. Let us know what that number is and we'll see for sure.
