I am trying to take off the wipers and the panel so that i can find the hole in the firewall. I got the bolts off both wipers but whats next in getting them and the panel off. thanks

Get your self some adjustable pliers so you can open the jaws iwde. then put one jaw under the wiper arm and the other on top of the threaded rod. Then squeeze hard. this will pop them of the conical spline that they sit on. Any other method may damage the rods or wiper mechanism. I have done this many times to mine and other SVT's

i tried what you said and i dont think its working cause they didnt come off and i squeezed pretty hard.......and the little black rubber things that are holding the panel on.. how do you get them off?
