i am trying to install 2 subs and an amp into my 96 se contour. I havent found a way to get the wiring from the battery through the firewall on the front of the car. i know people have dealt with this if you could help me out that would be the ****.....thanks

If you have an automatic, there is a gromet on the firewall where the clutch should be. That's where I run my 4ga wire. You'll have to cut some of the sound deading crap in the cabin to get the wire through, but it's not that much trouble.

Click the search button at the top and search for "power wire firewall" and you should come up with a few good threads that should give you some ideas.

take the windshield wipers off and then the cover underneath.........on the drivers side, underneath the cover theres a square black fabric thing you can pass the power cable through

where exactly is it located? i got the cover off but im not sure what im looking for?

on the drivers side........there should be a rectangular BLACK cutout.....theres no metal there just fabric.....poke through there.....
