Make sure your fans aren't seized. With the engine cool and the car off, stick your hand down in between the engine & cooling fans. Do they turn freely? One of mine was siezed, and the car would overheat in city driving. The other fan was doing double duty, but couldn't keep the temp cool enough.

Not too much a PITA to change the fan assembly, but not something you'd want to do every day.

what's the other fan for the one the left if youwere standing in frount of the car was sticking real bad and I sprayed it with electric cleaner and then massive amounts of WD 40 seems to spin better now but I am letting it soak overnight and will atempt to see what happens in the morning but I don't know what the other fan is for and don't think it's turing on the other one is right side because I got it unstuck and then stared the car but it squeeked to a holt so I am trying the WD 40 thing get back to me on the other fan thanks

Specify your year, engine, and transmission.

There are differences and we are not psychic.

No, it is NOT mean.

If I were psychic or if the poster had provided the relevent information, he would already have been given information to assist him.

Fuse 2 runs the cooling fans. If it blows, the fans (which are wired in parallel) will not work. That is why you now have no fans.

Sounds like one of yours is/was frozen. Replacement of the fan is recommended.

got the fans in... pain in the rear end but I got it out and the one I got at the junk yard 35$ (a steal) went in with no problems. so I am ok with the fans now...on the other hand I am getting a misfire from time to time and it still stays a bit hot right past the m. I also replaced the temp sensor for the gadgues on the dash. fans work fine so I am not goin to replace the ECT sensor. anyway now that those are working,,,,I added stopleak to the readiator cause it said it was good for the heads also but I did that before the fans were replaced. now that being said do you think the readiator has clogged coils from it???? I also did a flush on the engine and radiator by sticking a hose in all the other hoses and letting it run through the block and readiator but it could go through the radiator even haveing clogged coils right????? so what do you think>>>> O I also took a look at the water pump and it's fine
