So I need new tires sooner than I thought....got my eyes on the PZero Neros or the Proxes FZ4. Proxes are strictly because i can get them fairly cheap, about 35-40 less than the Neros, each. So it's either ~330 for some FZ4s or splurge on the Neros for ~450....I just need something that performs better than the Nitto 450, has a quieter and softer ride, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Any other suggestions will be cool, but help me out here. i'm lost. I have heard mixed reviews on the Toyos, but if they perform better, last longer, are quieter and more comfy than my Nittos, I'm sold.

well, depends what kind of tire u want. the nitto 450 is an allseason hiperformance tire with 300 treadwear. the fz4 is the same and the new proxes 4 is an ultrahiperformance allseason with 300 treadwear.

the neros have 220 treadwear and seem to be close to twice the price of the toyos and i believe are summer only tires. i suspect they wont come close to the life that u got out of the nittos so i'd say skip the neros.

comparison prices these are all 215/45/17 cuz thats what i use but should give u an idea

personally i still think my toyo t1s kickass. and the goodyear g1-d3 (i think these r the ones) have a very similar treadpattern and are supposed to be a bit cheaper than the t1s's

You have 245/45/16 on stock rims? Do you have any rubbing problems?

Sorry guys, I went with the Nitto Neo Gens. I was going to get the AVSE1000s but I decided not to. The Neo Gens are designed to compensate for negative camber wear and the few reviews I found on them say that they are a good tire. If not, I'll learn and spread the experience with everybody.

Oops i ment to say 225-45-16 yoko avs es100's.theres about enough space to fit my finger between the rear tire and the inside wheel well. with stock ride hight i have no fitment problems or rubbing, bottoming out
ect. ect. these tires are great. Why go with nitto's ?

Why would you guys run 225/45/16? The speedo is off with that size, and I can't really see that they'd offer a performance gain over 225/50/16 (which is almost dead on w/the speedo)...

As for tires, I'd also look at the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's... I just got mine and so far they've been great (I haven't pushed them yet though)

I have FZ4's on my CSVT right now that the previous owner put on. I don't have a lot of experience with different tires, but these are absolutely amazing IMHO. They grip tenaciously, but can will do a controlled slide too. I think they are pretty quiet, though mine are wearing down now and getting a little louder. I'm replacing them soon with probably the Sumitomo HTR+ mainly because the FZ4's are terrible in the snow, and I have to deal with a lot of snow here.

Ummm....that's kind of a contradicting statement, but ok.
