ok i have searched and was unsuccesful in finding an exact comparison so here goes: under hard acceleration under 3k i get bogs. i have experienced the bad IMRC in the upper before and its not that, i have good plugs and wires, i have a tuned chip, and i have a fairly new fuel filter. i am about to do a full UIM/LIM cleaning and that might help discover a possible vaccum leak or carbon buildup of some sort. another possibilty is my right rear magnecor plug-wire boot refuses to fully seat on the plug and i could be getting spark gap...but i think im trying to rule out the fuel pump even though it could very well be the problem. its a return style which are a little more dependable but its got 94k it so im fearing the worst. am i right...is it the pump, and if so, is the walbro 255 too much for a fairly heavily modded 3L hybrid?? whats the best fitting replacement for my mods?

More dependable? You can depend on the screen and filter to get clogged and choke the fuel sending unit.

Id say maybe IMRC....my question is does it get worse the less fuel you have in your tank???? If so id say fuel pump is a possibility!

i think it gets worse at lower fuel but it seems to do it all the time. anytime i floor it down low it bogs or surges or some sh*T. i watched my air/fuel when i did it and even though it isnt a wideband, when i gassed it the gauge went to full rich but bounced back real quick before going back to rich like normal. im wondering with that bounce back reading, if it is just another indication of the fuel. and im pretty sure its not the secondaries because i know the normal feeling when they open and that hasnt changed.

If there is a noticeable diffrence while the gas gets lower...then its a bigger chance it may be fuel pump....If it was IMRC it wouldn't nessicaraly get worse the lower you fuel would get...The less performance would be the same.
Best thing to do, Check all your connections on the IMRC, check the mechanical connections of it to to make sure all are opening. But the next time you get, see if it really does bog with less fuel....and you problem may end up being fuel pump related.
EDIT: on the A/F guage....i wouldn;t think anyhting of it...its just a light show right now....it did that to my car when my 2.5 liter was stock (now i ahve a 3 liter). Id say don;t trust it if it is not wide band.

I had a power problem a couple months ago. I turned out to be a linkage between the 2 lower intake butterflies had fallen off. The imrc was opening 1 but not the other.
