I own a 99 T-Red/Beige SVT and like everyone else, I know that the "Premium" sound system is a bunch of bs. Within the next couple of weeks I plan on putting the Sony X-Plod ABP HU, new Pioneer 3-ways in the front doors, 2-ways in the rear doors, and two X-plod ES 10 Inch subs in the trunk w/ X-plod Amp. A friend of mine(who doesn't own a contour) burned out his altenator when he put his system in, and I wanna make sure I don't do the same. Anybody with any answers please post reply.
-Thanks in Advance

The Contour has a particularly strong alternator. I don't suspect you will have any problems with it. What is the rating of the amp you are using to run the subs?

First off don't buy sony X-Plod subs. They are junk!!! Go to www.adireaudio.com and buy the shiva. Haha I said it first. When you do the install make sure you unhook the neg. from you battery. This will prevent anything from getting messed up. Good luck with the install!!! Those X-Plod HU's sound good.

I have pioneer 3-ways in the front and 2-ways in the back. I strongly recomend ordering them from www.electronicsemall.com. You won't find them cheaper anywhere else. I ordered mine from there and the transaction went very smooth.
