It's not actually my car, but is owned by my gf's cousin. He was off on a big-rig transport run. I sold his '98 Contour GL. Let me tell you, this little 4-banger was insanely slow compared to my '97 v6. My roommate in college bought it for $2500. I got $100 commission! Now what to buy......

If ya want a slow 4 banger, try Honda; MitsuShitti; and maybe even the damn Chrysler corperation 4 bangers...

Hey wait a minute...I had a 1998 Honda Civic Si before my contour and trust me that car was a hell of a lot quicker than the Contour.
I will be the first to admit that I am very impressed with the quality of the Contour. It is very similar to that of a Japanese car. I have a 1996 Contour and there are no rattles or squeeks. The same cannot be said for any of the domestic cars my friends have owned in the past.

My '94 Accord 4-cylinder is anything but slow for a four banger. Stock numbers: 0-60mph is 8.3s, 1/4 mile is 16.5s @85mph. Not too shabby for a naturally aspirated four cylinder.
