Well guys-

The car is in the garage as I type.. And as Ford couldn't find the tick, this garage can NOT as well... They put thier best three techs on the car with stethescopes (not sure if thats right spelling, sorry!) and NOT one of them can pin point the noise? Can you beleive this crap?

One tech thinks its a lifter although the other two techs are almost positve its an exhaust leak. The claimed a lifter makes more like a clicking noise.. This noise is more like pffft' sound...

So I guess I live with it till it gets worse and then they can finally find the culprit... They think its the exhaust because when the car is cold, its slightly there. But as the car heats up, it gets more distinctive and louder... But only to about 2500 rpms, Then you can't hear it.. Most likely its still there, its just the Duratech reving that covers it up!!!

The car runs NO different then the day I bought it.. So I will drive it till the wheels fall off... Get this.. The one tech that thinks its a lifter wants me to look into a new motor.. I said YOU ARE NUTZ.... I don't have that kind of cash....NO way... Anything to get me to spend money I don't have.. Gotta love it....

Thanks for letting me vent...

V6?
Have they tightened the exhaust manifold bolts (can they do that on our cars) My friends V8 ticks, it's the manifold, regular tightening gets it to stop.

Keep driving, and turn the radio up!
