Hi! While driving to work a few minutes ago, I had a clicking sound coming from the center console of my Mystique - it's an ATX. Sounded alot like the solenoid that unlocks the shifter when you press the brake pedal, but I was on the highway... I don't have the schematics for that portion of the car ( todras , I'll be getting in touch with you soon!) so I'd like to know if anyone has had the problem before - and yes, I did search... I can't dismantle the console until monday, but I'd like to get a head start... my feeling is that there is a relay somewhere that's acting strange, because the solenoid shouldn't be activated unless the car is in neutral or park, and the brake pedal depressed... Anyone?? Thanks!!

Thanks, I'll have a look at that sensor... F34 must be good though, as all the other accessories are still working...
Thanks again!

Ouch.. didn't have the time to dismantle the center console earlier this week, but now I don't have a heater blower anymore... the blower motor was running fine, then a few days ago it took like 6-8 minutes of highway time for it to start pushing air - it was just dead before that. Then today it didn't start at all...
Time to get the schematics... I'm not sure of the two problems are related though...

Interesting. Fuse 23 common feed to both shift interlock solenoid coil and heater blower relay coil.

Darn... no way I could've found this with the Haynes plans... I'm still searching the shift lock on those, but I've found the blower circuits...
Unfortunately, I've also found that my remote starter/keyless entry module was installed in front of the fuse box, right behind my driver-side glovebox... I can't disconnect it if I want it to work again (again, no plans) - this is going to be harder than I thought...
I'll have a look at it tomorrow morning when my girlfriend comes back with the Mystique...
You're really a big help Horseydug, can't thank you enough!!

Hmmm.. Fuse 23 is okay, just checked it.... I never had to open the fusebox, let's just say I had fun! The remote starter module is really in the way... A colleague of mine has the Mitchell On-Demand CDs, I'm hoping to get a hint from those until I can get the shop manual from todras.. In any case, there is some electrical cleanup in my near future...

Feels like a monologue now...
Fuse 37 was ok when I checked, so I closed the fusebox, and went to sleep.. Today when I got in the car.. heater blower was working.....
So my guess is at this point, that either there was a bad electrical contact at the 30-amps fuse, my blower motor relay is going south, or my fan motor is acting up... at least I'm getting some air now - hope it still works when I leave work tonite...

A monologue has one person speaking while others listen, otherwise you'd be talking to yourself. Another member's problem: re 30 amp fuse
