IAC? Or perhaps a vacuum leak?

nope no vac leak. I just got off the phoen with my mech and he said my throttle body was so black that he had to clean it a little to get it to open. So he thinks cleanign that and the maf will fix it. After all the car did set for 8 months with the throttle body off the car!

Static timing set right? I imagine if it was one tooth (about ten degrees) it could still run but not very well.

Also, check on TPS and reset your comp (fuses 4 and 11 in your engine bay power distribution box).

Ive cleaned out the throttle body with a tooth brush and some carb cleaner. Before i did that i unpluged the coil pack and removed spark plugs to prevent hydro locking the engine. Their was also a 7.5 amp blown fuse in my fuse panel by the stearing wheel. I replaced that... the car seems to idle a little better but I still have yet to test it on the highway and see if it still dies on me when exiting.

nope just one really really dirty throttle body. I got to test it out on the way to work and it didnt die. Came close but I didnt really clean it to the best of my abilities either... The little bit I did clean seemed to help a ton!
