OP GoldTour CEG\'er G Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 74 Pomona, Ca	In the How-To section for strut/spring replacement. It reccomends cutting the bump stop for the front end. Is this really neccessary and advisable? I am about to install the Bat spring/Bilstein combo. Just looking for advice. 2000 Contour SE Sport 2.5

weargle Veteran CEG\'er W Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 751 Morrisville, NC	My H&R guide said to remove X inches from the middle of each bump stop; I used rubber cement to adhese the two halves together. The reason I figure why they said to cut out the middle is if you check them out, they're in effect a progressive rate spring. Pretty neat engineering. Whirling dervish of FFOG.
