In the How-To section for strut/spring replacement. It reccomends cutting the bump stop for the front end. Is this really neccessary and advisable? I am about to install the Bat spring/Bilstein combo. Just looking for advice.

I cut mine. Some people do, some don't. I haven't heard a definitive arguement in either direction.

Seeing as they are lowering springs, would probably cut one rib out. that way you can always take more if you notice you hit it often!

Andy W. The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

My H&R guide said to remove X inches from the middle of each bump stop; I used rubber cement to adhese the two halves together.

The reason I figure why they said to cut out the middle is if you check them out, they're in effect a progressive rate spring. Pretty neat engineering.
