I'm picking up a set of the new bendix ceramics front pads for my 2000 SVT...
but the guy at advanced is giving me a hard time...

except E0..all contours have the same front pads right??

if you look on their site http://www.partsamerica.com/SelectParts.asp?SourceArea=SHOP&PartType=219&PTSet=A&Description=Brake+Pads+%26+Shoes&SourcePage=PartTypes&SearchFor=Brake+Pad+%2F+Shoes%2C+Front

the Bendix D648CT
are the ones in question....its says its the front pads for cars with front disc/rear drums

and since the SVT has 4 wheel disc he keeps telling me it won't work

But if all contour (except E0) have the same pad it doesn't matter right???

someone please help me out here??

I really hate it when the parts catalog is wrong and the parts guy is too dim to realize it.

Several years ago i bought a set of front brake shoes for a 95 Mustang. The parts guy insisted that the car had disc brakes and that it needed pads because the catalog did not list front shoes for drum brakes. I finally told him to pull the box off the shelf with the part number his catalog showed and bring them up. He did, and of course, they were shoes. Without rubbing it in his face, I simply said "those will work, I'll take them".

Well I had a guy at Pro-M(they make the 75mm MAFs) tell me I could run my car without a MAF. He said the Mustangs can do it so my Contour could.

Oops!

That should have read 65 Mustang.

Disc front brakes were optional in 65, but there were very few of them, and oly with the V8 engine. I was working on a 6 cylinder Mustang.
