I did it to my SVT. Well, I built it into the intake pipe I made. I used the advice from the Duratech Performance forum. I started with a 1/4" hole and enlarged it one drill size at a time until I found a size I liked.

Def. pick a size on a moderate day. If you do it when its cold outside then when summper comes and your idling with the AC on and crank the steering wheel you might stall. If you do it on a hot summer day you'll moose and get hang when its cold outside.

I have 5/32. In the cold (below 50) it doesn't moose but it hangs a little. When its hot (over 80) and the engine is warmed up, idling, the AC kicks in and I turn the steering wheel the engine slows down, stammers for a second and catches back up.

Some of the hard core guys have a few different pieces with different sized holes that they change out at different times of the year. Smaller holes for the cold times and larger holes for when its warm.

I apologize in advance for resurecting an old post, but I'm having a hard time looking up where the hole is drilled and whether there is more to this moose/th fix than a simple hole...
does the IAC need to be replaced? new hoses?

I thought I was the only one driving around with a moose under my hood, sounds more like she's the village bicycle

did you do a readup on the how-to fix from the contour.org main site?
link
we haven't done the fix yet to Mike's car, so I don't have any answers for you, but if you haven't read that how-to, give it a read and let us know if you're still having problems.

Some of you got to hear Mike's moose at our mod meet a couple weeks ago. Oh man, that was the loudest moose I'd ever heard too. He was trying to show off the sound of the Borla and got DENIED!

I thought it sounded great. The moose that is.

I endured it for a weekend up North a couple years ago in hot, humid weather. Every time the car idled - mooooooooooooose. That copper plug is so cheap and easy it's unbelieveable.

I did it soon after I bought the car and discovered this site. I adjusted the hole size until I had the maximum size that worked. Never any moose, and if there is any hang left it is too quick for me to notice. If you want to know the exact size of the hole I can pull it and measure for you.
