Anyone know what differences, if any, there are between Duratec wiring harnesses that were installed in OBD2 MTX & ABS equipped Contiques?

Just wondering if I could put in a newer wiring harness in my '96SE when I have the engine out in the future to do clutch/MTX maintenance. My original harness is holding up ok, but I don't know if it'll make it another 100K.

Why not just order the replacement harness kit from Ford? It's around $600 (that's for a '95 -- I expect that it is probably cheaper for a '96) , how much is a junkyard harness from a newer car going to cost? (And will they remove it without messing it up??)

The replacement harness kit is made with the correct wiring insulation so you will not have to worry about it.
