Anyone running a Hi-Flow Y pipe with a Borla cat-back system? Just wanted to know how it sounds. I had a sho-shop Y pipe on my SHO and it sounded like a Honda. I really donâ??t want anything that loud. From what I've read Borla seems to be the most mellow and just a little bit louder then stock. I donâ??t no if thatâ??s with the Y pipe though.

Well, I'll be nice.

The Borla exhaust sounds pretty much the same with a high flow Y(with a cat) as it does with the stock Y-pipe. If you are running a y-pipe with no cat, it has a little more of an aggressive grow and is slightly louder. IMO, the Borla is the best sounding exhaust with no cats. Not ricey at all.

searching is over-rated. I spent the last 3 hours going through the first 50 pages of the archives and I still couldn't find a consistant answer on anything, especially when it comes to an intake, everyone has a different opinion as to which filter to use.

Everyone here seems to agree on K&N. If you couldn't find an answer on that, you weren't trying very hard.

BAT y-pipe, free flow cat, Borla cat back. Sounds great, no rasp, no ricer noise, no drone, turns lots of heads, love it. And searching is not over rated. Might take awhile but you'll find other things on your way to your main question. I'll admit, tho, it can be somewhat frustrating sometimes.

If you believe that, you need to search more.
