Hey guys, this thing is bothering the hell out of me. Under light braking, I hear a clicking sound coming from my driver side front tire. I jacked up the car, took off the tire and rotated the driver side front rotor. Nothing. I did it with the brake slightly applied, still nothing. But I ended up with a nasty little blood filled bump on my hand because it got caught in the caliper. Any insight on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

my first thought would be either something in the tire or poss the cv joint. do you notice it while doing a slow roll down the street w/o light braking?

the wierd thing is that it only clicks when i lightly brake. this is often becuase i'm in the city. When i'm on the highway, braking slightly harder, i don't notice a clicking. I'll check the caliper.
EDIT Just found out from the previous owner, my sister, that the driver side tire has been through a lot. It shakes a lot while driving. Do you think that is it or do you think that they are unrelated?

I have it too, but from my rear wheel. It goes away when the pedal is pressed tighter.
I doubt it's a CV joint or bearing. It's in your caliper. You might grease the caliper slider pins (bolts?) and clean any brakedust crud you see and see if that helps.
